Wednesday Notes - 2024 W&M Week 2

Morning and Evening Prayer.

Morning Prayer 7:30 AM Assembly Inn Lobby.

Evening Prayer will be in the Moore Center 15 minutes after the Hymn Festival concludes. This link may be used to access the materials for Evening Prayer online.


PAM Certification. If you are interested in pursuing PAM Certification and would like to meet with a Certification Committee member this week, please contact David Brinson at dbrinson@dcpc.org.


Conversation about a New Confession. Did you know that the PC(USA) has appointed a committee to write a new confession of faith to be added to our Book of Confessions? Our preacher this week, Martha Moore-Keish—as well as next year’s preacher, Margaret Aymer—are on the writing committee. If you want to hear more about the process and offer your input, come join Martha for a conversation tomorrow at 4:30 on the porch of the Belk Center.


Reading Session: Adult Choir. 3:30 PM in the Convocation Hall. Those who did not register for this reading session may purchase music from the Beethoven & Company store.


Children’s and Middler Drama Rehearsal.  Children and Middlers in drama must attend rehearsal today in the Anderson Auditorium. Children will begin rehearsal at 5:20 PM. Middlers will begin rehearsal at 5:45 PM.

Hymn Festival. Join us for this W&M tradition at 7:30 PM in the Anderson Auditorium.


Scholarship Fund Offering. During this evening’s Hymn Festival, we will collect an offering to benefit the PAM Scholarship Fund.  In 2024, 69 scholarships were awarded (6 Youth & 63 Adult) totaling $35,492. The scholarships covered PAM memberships for our First Call Community and Worship & Music Conference registrations, lodging, meals, and travel. You may give online here


Youth Evening Activity. Middler and Senior High conferees are invited to a time of fellowship and fun tonight in the Barn beginning 15 minutes after the Hymn Festival concludes.


Commissioned Anthem Octavo Signing. Friday at 10 AM and after worship at the Beethoven & Company store. Earlene Rentz, composer will autograph copies of Friday’s Middler anthem “Lead Us Homeward.”
